relating to public safety; appropriating money for a pilot project for Ramsey
County's Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $222,000 in fiscal year 2008 is appropriated from the general fund to the Ramsey
County Community Corrections Department to conduct a 12-month pilot program
designed to examine and address disproportionate minority contact and juvenile detention
alternatives in the juvenile justice system in Ramsey County.
