relating to agriculture; appropriating money to the Agricultural Utilization Research
Institute for specified purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $2,750,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the board of
directors of the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute. The is a onetime appropriation
and is available until June 30, 2026. Of this amount:

new text begin (1) $1,500,000 is to replace analytical and processing equipment and make corresponding
facility upgrades at Agricultural Utilization Research Institute facilities in Marshall and
Waseca;

new text begin (2) $750,000 is to support food businesses; and
new text end

new text begin (3) $500,000 is for renewable natural gas and anaerobic digestion projects.
