A bill for an act
relating to education finance; modifying the general education revenue formula;
increasing revenue for some school districts; amending Minnesota Statutes 2012,
section 126C.10, subdivision 2c.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 126C.10, subdivision 2c, is amended to
read:

Subd. 2c.

Small schools revenue.

new text begin (a) new text end A school district, not including a charter
school, is eligible for small schools revenue equal to the product of:

(1) $5,224;

(2) the district's adjusted marginal cost pupil units for that year;

(3) the greater of zero or the ratio of (i) 1,000 less the district's adjusted marginal
cost pupil units for that year, to (ii) 1,000; and

(4) 0.10.

new text begin (b) For the purpose of revenue calculated under paragraph (a), "school district"
includes a qualifying high school under section 126C.10, subdivision 6, that is located
in a school district with more than one qualifying high school under section 126C.10,
subdivision 6.
