  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to children; appropriating money for early 
  1.3             childhood immunization efforts. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [EARLY CHILDHOOD IMMUNIZATION GRANTS; 
  1.6   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      (a) The commissioner of children, families, and learning 
  1.8   shall make grants to education, health, and other early 
  1.9   childhood service providers to expand early childhood 
  1.10  immunization efforts for children ages three years and older. 
  1.11     (b) $4,720,000 in fiscal year 2002 and $4,720,000 in fiscal 
  1.12  year 2003 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.13  commissioner of children, families, and learning for the 
  1.14  purposes of paragraph (a).  Of this appropriation up to $200,000 
  1.15  each fiscal year may be used by the agency for the operating 
  1.16  costs of the agency.
