  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; providing funding for the 
  1.3             Minnesota institute of sustainable agriculture; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [MINNESOTA INSTITUTE OF SUSTAINABLE 
  1.7   AGRICULTURE; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $200,000 in fiscal year 2002 and $200,000 in fiscal year 
  1.9   2003 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner 
  1.10  of agriculture for a contract with the Minnesota institute for 
  1.11  sustainable agriculture to gather, evaluate, publish, and 
  1.12  disseminate sustainable agriculture information to a broad 
  1.13  audience through both printed and electronic means.  The 
  1.14  Minnesota institute for sustainable agriculture must work in 
  1.15  cooperation with the department of agriculture in carrying out 
  1.16  this activity.  This appropriation is available until June 30, 
  1.17  2003.
