  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to housing; providing for consultation with 
  1.3             representatives of urban Indian organizations by the 
  1.4             commissioner of the Minnesota housing finance agency; 
  1.5             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.6             chapter 462A. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [462A.042] [ADVISORY CONSULTATION WITH URBAN 
  1.9   INDIANS.] 
  1.10     The commissioner shall consult with the metropolitan urban 
  1.11  Indian directors on at least a biannual basis with regard to the 
  1.12  impact of agency plans, projects, programs, and activities on 
  1.13  urban Indians to insure that the rights and concerns of urban 
  1.14  Indians are considered in the development of such plans, 
  1.15  projects, programs, and activities.  Advisory consultations in 
  1.16  addition to regularly scheduled consultations shall be held when 
  1.17  requested by either the commissioner or the metropolitan urban 
  1.18  Indian directors.
