A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; designating a bridge over signed Interstate Highway
94 in St. Paul as John Alleman Memorial Bridge; amending Minnesota Statutes
2014, section 161.14, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 161.14, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin John Alleman Memorial Bridge. new text end

new text begin The pedestrian and bicycle bridge
over Route No. 392, signed as Interstate Highway 94, near North Grotto Street in St.
Paul, is designated "John Alleman Memorial Bridge." Subject to section 161.139, the
commissioner shall consult with interested parties to adopt a suitable design, including
upon request a graphical image, to mark this bridge and shall erect appropriate signs.
