  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ASIAN-AMERICAN JUVENILE CRIME INTERVENTION AND 
  1.7   PREVENTION; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $500,000 is appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 
  1.9   30, 2002, and $500,000 is appropriated for the fiscal year 
  1.10  ending June 20, 2003, to the commissioner of public safety from 
  1.11  the general fund for Asian-American juvenile crime intervention 
  1.12  and prevention grants under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.13  299A.2994, subdivision 3, clause 2.
