  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $400,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of children, families, and learning for the fiscal 
  1.8   biennium ending June 30, 2001, for grants to create or maintain 
  1.9   family visitation centers under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.10  119A.37.  $200,000 of this amount must be used for an additional 
  1.11  $25,000 grant to each of the current grantees.  The remaining 
  1.12  amount must be used for new grantees.
