A bill for an act
relating to liquor; authorizing the city of Duluth to issue a 3.2 malt liquor license
for the premises known as Wheeler Field.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WHEELER FIELD; 3.2 MALT LIQUOR LICENSE.

new text begin Notwithstanding any law or ordinance to the contrary, the city of Duluth may issue
an on-sale intoxicating liquor license for the premises known as Wheeler Field in addition
to the number authorized by law. The license may authorize sales to persons attending
softball games and other athletic events held at the premises. The license may authorize
the sale and consumption of 3.2 malt liquor at the concession stand and approved dining
area of the premises. The license may be issued to the city or to a person or corporation
under contract or agreement with the city. The license authorizes sales on all days of the
week. All provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A, not inconsistent with this
section apply to the license under this section.
