  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; requiring centerline rumble 
  1.3             strips on certain highway projects. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [HIGHWAY PROJECTS; USE OF CENTERLINE RUMBLE 
  1.6   STRIPS.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of transportation shall: 
  1.8      (1) in all projects for the construction, reconstruction, 
  1.9   or resurfacing of two-lane trunk highways outside urban 
  1.10  districts, as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 169.01, 
  1.11  subdivision 59, include milled-in rumble strips on the 
  1.12  centerline of the highway; and 
  1.13     (2) insure that all projects for the construction, 
  1.14  reconstruction, or resurfacing of two-lane county state-aid 
  1.15  highways outside urban districts include milled-in rumble strips 
  1.16  on the centerline of the highway.
