  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [123B.148] [SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELOR.] 
  1.7      A school board must employ the number of school guidance 
  1.8   counselors needed so that the school guidance counselor to 
  1.9   student ratio does not exceed one to 200. 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.11     Section 1 is effective for the 1999-2000 school year and 
  1.12  later.
