  1.2             relating to data practices; clarifying that the 
  1.3             location of a National Night Out event is public data; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 13.37, 
  1.5             subdivision 3. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 13.37, 
  1.8   subdivision 3, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 3.  [DATA DISSEMINATION.] Crime prevention block maps 
  1.10  and names, home addresses, and telephone numbers of volunteers 
  1.11  who participate in community crime prevention programs may be 
  1.12  disseminated to volunteers participating in crime prevention 
  1.13  programs.  The location of a National Night Out event is public 
  1.14  data.
