  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; providing public benefits for the 
  1.3             diagnosis and treatment of aspergillosis similar to 
  1.4             the benefits provided for tuberculosis; amending 
  1.5             Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256B.0625, by adding 
  1.6             a subdivision; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.7             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 144. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  [144.4814] [ASPERGILLOSIS.] 
  1.10     The costs to diagnose or treat aspergillosis must be 
  1.11  covered in the same manner as tuberculosis under section 
  1.12  144.4812. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256B.0625, is 
  1.14  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.15     Subd. 40a.  [ASPERGILLOSIS RELATED SERVICES.] For persons 
  1.16  with aspergillosis, medical assistance must cover services and 
  1.17  costs in the same manner as tuberculosis under subdivision 40.
