A bill for an act
relating to human services; modifying the timing for transferring the medical
education and research funds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The funds required to be distributed under Minnesota Statutes, section 62J.692,
subdivision 7, paragraph (a), shall equal an amount described in Minnesota Statutes,
section 256B.69, subdivision 5c, paragraph (a), clause (1), for the prepaid medical
assistance payments made between July 1 to June 30 of that fiscal year, and shall be
distributed by December 31.

new text begin This requirement shall go into effect for the annual distribution for calendar year
2009 and the amount of funds to be distributed shall equal the amount of the reduction
specified in Minnesota Statutes, section 256B.69, subdivision 5c, paragraph (a), clause
(1), attributable for the period between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010.
