  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale and 
  1.3             conveyance of certain tax-forfeited lands that border 
  1.4             public water in LeSueur county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; LESUEUR COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, LeSueur county shall sell by 
  1.11  private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that 
  1.12  is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.  
  1.14     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.15  attorney general for the fair market value as determined by the 
  1.16  LeSueur county board of commissioners. 
  1.17     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in LeSueur county 
  1.18  and is described as: 
  1.19     That part of Government Lot 7, Section 35, Township 109 
  1.20     North, Range 24 West, described as follows:  Commencing at 
  1.21     the southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 2, Roemhildts Waters 
  1.22     Edge Addition; thence West along the south line of said Lot 
  1.23     6 60 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing 
  1.24     North 70 degrees 37 minutes 00 seconds West 230.14 feet to 
  1.25     the east line of Lot 5, Block 2, Roemhildts Waters Edge 
  2.1      Addition; thence South 29 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds 
  2.2      West 66.00 feet; thence South 70 degrees 37 minutes 00 
  2.3      seconds East 230.14 feet; thence North 29 degrees 00 
  2.4      minutes 00 seconds East 66.00 feet to the point of 
  2.5      beginning. 
  2.6      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.7   management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  2.8   returned to private ownership. 
  2.9      Sec. 2.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC 
  2.10  WATER; LESUEUR COUNTY.] 
  2.11     (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45, 
  2.12  282.01, subdivision 1a, and 282.018, subdivision 1, and upon the 
  2.13  recommendation of the LeSueur county board, the commissioner of 
  2.14  revenue shall convey by deed the tax-forfeited land bordering 
  2.15  public water described in paragraph (c) to the commissioner of 
  2.16  natural resources, for no consideration. 
  2.17     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  2.18  attorney general and shall release the land from the trust in 
  2.19  favor of LeSueur county. 
  2.20     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in LeSueur county 
  2.21  and is described as: 
  2.22     That part of Government Lot 7, Section 35, Township 109 
  2.23     North, Range 24 West, described as follows:  Commencing at 
  2.24     the southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 2, Roemhildts Waters 
  2.25     Edge Addition; thence West along the south line of said Lot 
  2.26     6 60 feet to the point of beginning; thence South 29 
  2.27     degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 66.00 feet; thence South 
  2.28     70 degrees 37 minutes 00 seconds East 81.69 feet; thence 
  2.29     South 55 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East 315.80; thence 
  2.30     South 29 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East to the waters 
  2.31     edge of Lake Francis; thence East along the shore line to 
  2.32     the east line of Government Lot 7, Section 35, Township 109 
  2.33     North, Range 24 West; thence North along said line 190 
  2.34     feet; thence North 55 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West to 
  2.35     the southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 2, Roemhildts Waters 
  2.36     Edge Addition; thence West along the south line of said Lot 
  3.1      6 60 feet to the point of beginning. 
  3.2      (d) The department of natural resources shall use the land 
  3.3   for fish management.
