  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money to 
  1.3             the Lewis and Clark joint powers board for its rural 
  1.4             water system. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [LEWIS AND CLARK RURAL WATER SYSTEM.] 
  1.7      (a) $25,000 each year of the biennium ending June 30, 2003, 
  1.8   is appropriated from the general fund to the Lewis and Clark 
  1.9   joint powers board for its expenses on project of the Lewis and 
  1.10  Clark rural water system. 
  1.11     (b) ....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.12  commissioner of natural resources for a grant to the Lewis and 
  1.13  Clark joint powers board to acquire land, predesign, design, 
  1.14  construct, furnish, and equip a rural water system to serve 
  1.15  southwestern Minnesota.  This appropriation is available when 
  1.16  matched by $8 of federal money and $1 of local money for each $1 
  1.17  of state money.  This appropriation is available until spent.
