A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; requiring label disclosure of sweeteners and other ingredients
mixed with honey; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 31.74, by adding
a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 31.74, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Honey mixed with other ingredients. new text end

new text begin It is unlawful for any person to sell or
offer for sale honey combined with a sweetener or other ingredient unless the ingredient is
printed on the label with prominence equal to that of the term "honey," and the label includes
the names of all ingredients plainly stated in the order of their predominance and printed in
uniform size of type.
