A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to the
Northside Economic Opportunity Network.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin NORTHSIDE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY NETWORK.

new text begin $200,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $200,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a
grant to the Northside Economic Opportunity Network for developing and supporting
entrepreneurial skills and job creation in communities served by the Northside Economic
Opportunity Network. Funds may be used for activities including, but not limited to:
business plan training, business workshops, technical assistance to small business owners,
development and support of business incubators, entrepreneurial network development,
and the expansion of entrepreneurial capacity in communities.
