A bill for an act
relating to local government; authorizing Carlton County to levy a tax for recreation
purposes; amending Laws 1996, chapter 471, article 3, section 51.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Laws 1996, chapter 471, article 3, section 51, is amended to read:
Sec. 51. RECREATION LEVY FOR SAWYER BY CARLTON COUNTY.

Section 1 applies to taxes payable in 2017 and thereafter, and is effective the day after
the Carlton County Board of Commissioners and its chief clerical officer timely complete
their compliance with section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
