  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public and 
  1.3             private sales of certain tax-forfeited land that 
  1.4             borders public water and certain tax-forfeited land 
  1.5             within a consolidated conservation area in Aitkin 
  1.6             county. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.9   PUBLIC WATER; AITKIN COUNTY.] 
  1.10     (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.11  282.018, subdivision 1, Aitkin county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.12  land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.13  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.14  282. 
  1.15     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.16  attorney general.  
  1.17     (c) The land to be sold is located in Aitkin county and is 
  1.18  described as: 
  1.19     An undivided 1/43 interest in Lot 19, Block 1 in the Plat 
  1.20  of Waukenabo Addition. 
  1.21     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.22  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.23  returned to private ownership. 
  1.24     Sec. 2.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND WITHIN A 
  1.25  CONSOLIDATED CONSERVATION AREA; AITKIN COUNTY.] 
  1.26     (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 84A.27, or 
  2.1   other law to the contrary, Aitkin county may sell certain 
  2.2   tax-forfeited land within a consolidated conservation area to 
  2.3   adjoining landowners under the alternative sale provisions of 
  2.4   Minnesota Statutes, section 282.01, subdivision 7.  
  2.5      (b) The land to be sold is located in Aitkin county and is 
  2.6   described as: 
  2.7      That part of Government Lot 1 lying South of Highway 18 and 
  2.8   North of the plats of Pleasant View Ridge 1st Addition and 
  2.9   Pleasant View Ridge 2nd Addition lying West of the extended west 
  2.10  line of Lot 1 of the Plat of Pleasant View Ridge 1st Addition 
  2.11  and lying East of the extended west line of Lot 1 of the Plat of 
  2.12  Pleasant View Ridge 2nd Addition, all in Section 25, Township 45 
  2.13  North, Range 27 West.  
  2.14     (c) The county has determined that the sale would eliminate 
  2.15  a substandard parcel and that the county's land management 
  2.16  interests would best be served if the lands were returned to 
  2.17  private ownership.
