A bill for an act
relating to state government; specifying treatment of unexpended funds in the
information and telecommunications technology systems and services account;
clarifying reporting requirements; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section
16E.21, subdivision 5.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 16E.21, subdivision 5, is amended to read:
The chief information officer shall report by September 15 of each
odd-numbered year to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees
and divisions with jurisdiction over the Office of MN.IT Services regarding the receipts
credited to the account. The report new text begin must list every project for which receipts have been
credited to the account, unless the project is completed and a previous report has reflected
that all receipts have been spent or transferred under subdivision 4. The report new text end must include
new text begin the following information for each project: (1) new text end a description of deleted text begin projectsdeleted text end new text begin the project new text end funded
through the information and telecommunications technology systems and services account
deleted text begin and eachdeleted text end new text begin ; (2) thenew text end project's current statusnew text begin ; (3) the amount received in the account for the
project; (4) the amount spent as of the report date on the project with details on the source
of all funds spent on the project; and (5) the amount encumbered for the project and the

time to the information and telecommunications technology systems and services account.
