  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; requiring a waiver of the 
  1.3             amount of civil fine in excess of the amount required 
  1.4             under current law for fines levied on dairy producers 
  1.5             during a specified period; requiring reimbursement. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [WAIVER OF EXCESS DAIRY FINE AMOUNT.] 
  1.8      For civil fines levied under Minnesota Statutes 1999 
  1.9   Supplement, section 32.21, subdivision 4, paragraph (d), for 
  1.10  violations that occurred between April 13, 2000, and August 1, 
  1.11  2000, the commissioner of agriculture shall waive the amount of 
  1.12  the civil fine that is above the amount required under Minnesota 
  1.13  Statutes 2000, section 32.21, subdivision 4, paragraph (d).  The 
  1.14  commissioner shall reimburse the amount waived to dairy 
  1.15  producers who have paid civil fines for violations that occurred 
  1.16  between April 13, 2000, and August 1, 2000. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
