  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; requiring the commissioner of 
  1.3             health to give priority to certain moratorium 
  1.4             exception proposals; providing funding for the 
  1.5             moratorium exception process; appropriating money; 
  1.6             amending Laws 2000, chapter 364, section 2. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Laws 2000, chapter 364, section 2, is amended 
  1.9   to read: 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [MORATORIUM EXCEPTION PROCESS.] 
  1.11     For fiscal year the biennium beginning July 1, 2000 2001, 
  1.12  when approving nursing home moratorium exception projects under 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, section 144A.073, the commissioner of health 
  1.14  shall give priority to proposals to build replacement facilities 
  1.15  in the city of Anoka or within ten miles of the city of Anoka. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION; MORATORIUM EXCEPTION PROCESS.] 
  1.17     $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.18  commissioner of human services for the biennium beginning July 
  1.19  1, 2001, to provide funding for exceptions to the nursing home 
  1.20  moratorium under Minnesota Statutes, section 144A.073.
