A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the First Witness Child
Advocacy Center in Duluth.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for a grant to First Witness Child Advocacy Center for the acquisition
and improvement of properties located at 1402, 1406, and 1412 East 2nd Street in the city
of Duluth. This appropriation includes money for demolition of the building located at 1412
East 2nd Street and construction of a parking lot, and for renovation, furnishing, and
equipping of the buildings located at 1402 and 1406 East 2nd Street as a training center and
a child advocacy center.
