  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money for 
  1.3             hazardous materials teams. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $1,121,000 in fiscal year 2002, and $1,128,000 in fiscal 
  1.7   year 2003, are appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of public safety for the hazardous materials 
  1.9   emergency response/chemical assessment teams.  The commissioner 
  1.10  must maintain operation of four combined hazardous materials 
  1.11  emergency response/chemical assessment teams and six stand-alone 
  1.12  chemical assessment teams with this appropriation.
