  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; retaining money in the 
  1.3             ethanol development fund; providing for an additional 
  1.4             ethanol development loan.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ETHANOL DEVELOPMENT FUND.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding the transfers from the ethanol development 
  1.8   fund to the general fund required under Laws 1997, chapter 216, 
  1.9   section 17, and Laws 1998, chapter 401, section 10, $500,000 
  1.10  must be retained in the ethanol development fund until June 30, 
  1.11  2000.  This sum is available for making one additional loan 
  1.12  under Minnesota Statutes, section 41B.044. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
