BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $15,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to
the commissioner of corrections for a grant to Clay County to acquire land, predesign,
design, and construct a jail and law enforcement facility for the Clay County Sheriff's
Department.

new text begin Chisago County. new text end

new text begin $10,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to
the commissioner of corrections for a grant to Chisago County to predesign, design, and
construct a jail and law enforcement facility for the Chisago County Sheriff's Department.

new text begin Appropriations; when available. new text end

new text begin The appropriations in subdivisions
1 and 2 are not available until the commissioner of management and budget has
determined that at least an equal amount has been committed from nonstate sources.
The appropriations in subdivisions 1 and 2 are available until the respective projects are
completed or abandoned subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
