A bill for an act
relating to education finance; increasing funding for special education programs;
reducing the special education cross subsidy; eliminating the state caps on special
education funding; appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2012,
sections 125A.76, subdivision 4; 125A.79, subdivision 6.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 125A.76, subdivision 4, is amended to read:
Subd. 4.
State total special education aid.
The state total special education
aid equals deleted text begin $529,247,000 for fiscal year 2007, $694,063,000 for fiscal year 2008,
