A bill for an act
 relating to agriculture; appropriating money for sustainable agriculture
demonstration grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE DEMONSTRATION GRANTS.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2008 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2009 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of agriculture for grants to farmers for demonstration
projects involving sustainable agriculture as authorized in Minnesota Statutes, section
17.116. Up to one-fourth of the annual appropriations may be used for dissemination
of information about the demonstration projects. This appropriation is available until
expended.
