  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic development; appropriating money 
  1.3             for the Duluth Technology Village. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; DULUTH TECHNOLOGY VILLAGE.] 
  1.6      $450,000 is appropriated to the commissioner of trade and 
  1.7   economic development from the general fund in each year of the 
  1.8   biennium for a grant to the city of Duluth to support the 
  1.9   development of the Duluth Technology Village.  The grant shall 
  1.10  be used to establish international partnerships, attract 
  1.11  software businesses, recruit and train workers for the software 
  1.12  industry, and support a software business incubator facility.  
  1.13  This is a one-time appropriation and must not be added to the 
  1.14  agency's budget base.
