  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [GOODHUE SCHOOLS MAY START AUGUST 30, 1999.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 120A.40, 
  1.8   independent school district No. 253, Goodhue, may begin 
  1.9   1999-2000 school year classes on August 30, 1999. 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.11     This act is effective, without local approval, the day 
  1.12  after its final enactment.
