  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA RIVER BASIN II.] 
  1.6      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund for the 
  1.7   biennium ending June 30, 2003, to the board of water and soil 
  1.8   water resources for a grant to Area II, Minnesota River Basin 
  1.9   Projects, Inc.  This amount must be matched by $166,000 from 
  1.10  Area II, Minnesota River Basin Projects, Inc.  Projects eligible 
  1.11  for funding under the grant include road retention, small dam 
  1.12  repair and construction, and wetland restoration.
