A bill for an act
relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for construction of
bridge on marked Trunk Highway 95; authorizing sale and issuance of state
trunk highway bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin HIGHWAY 95 BRIDGE; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $6,000,000 is appropriated from the trunk highway fund to the commissioner
of transportation for construction of a new bridge on marked Trunk Highway 95 at
its intersection with marked Interstate Highway 35 in the city of North Branch. This
appropriation is available until spent.

Sec. 2. new text begin BOND SALE AUTHORIZATION.

new text begin On request of the commissioner of transportation, the commissioner of finance
shall sell and issue Minnesota state trunk highway bonds for the purposes provided in
Minnesota Statutes, section 167.51, subdivision 1, in the aggregate principal amount
of $6,000,000 in the manner and on the conditions prescribed in Minnesota Statutes,
sections 167.50 and 167.51, and in the Minnesota Constitution, article XIV, section 11.
The proceeds of the bonds must be deposited in the trunk highway fund for expenditure in
accordance with section 1.
