A bill for an act
 relating to the state budget; making technical changes to a statute requiring
budget projections; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 16A.04.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 16A.04, is amended to read:


16A.04 BUDGET AND CASH PROJECTION.

Subdivision 1.

To prepare, consult, supervise.

The commissioner deleted text begin shalldeleted text end new text begin mustnew text end
prepare the biennial budget with projections of revenues and expenditures for both the
biennial budget period and the biennium following the biennial budget period. The
governor deleted text begin shalldeleted text end new text begin mustnew text end supervise the preparation unless there is a governor-elect, who then
deleted text begin shalldeleted text end new text begin mustnew text end provide the supervision.
