  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; expanding the judgment

  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 126C.43, 
  1.5             subdivision 3. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 126C.43, 
  1.8   subdivision 3, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 3.  [TAX LEVY FOR UNPAID JUDGMENT.] A school district 
  1.10  or intermediate school district may levy the amounts necessary 
  1.11  to pay the district's obligations under section 126C.47. 
  1.12     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.13  following final enactment.
