  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to lobbyists; prohibiting former legislators, 
  1.3             constitutional officers, agency heads, and certain 
  1.4             legislative employees from lobbying for legislative or 
  1.5             administrative action for one year after leaving 
  1.6             office; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.7             Statutes, chapter 10A. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  [10A.035] [LOBBYING RESTRICTION.] 
  1.10     For one year after leaving one of the offices listed in 
  1.11  this section, an individual may not act as a lobbyist who 
  1.12  attempts to influence legislative or administrative action: 
  1.13     (1) member of the legislature; 
  1.14     (2) constitutional officer; 
  1.15     (3) commissioner, deputy commissioner, or head of any state 
  1.16  department or agency; 
  1.17     (4) legislative caucus leadership staff; 
  1.18     (5) legislative committee administrator; or 
  1.19     (6) researcher, legislative analyst, or attorney in the 
  1.20  office of senate counsel and research or house research.
