  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for transportation 
  1.3             grants; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.7   LEARNING.] The sums indicated in this section are appropriated 
  1.8   from the general fund to the department of children, families, 
  1.9   and learning for the fiscal year designated. 
  1.10     Subd. 2.  [TRANSPORTATION GRANTS.] For grants to school 
  1.11  districts that use public transportation to transport secondary 
  1.12  students to and from school. 
  1.13       $.......     .....     2000 
  1.14     Districts receiving transportation grants must match $1 of 
  1.15  district money for every $4 of grant money received. 
  1.16     This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001.
