  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money for a 
  1.3             state patrol recruit training academy. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $1,200,000 is appropriated from the trunk highway fund to 
  1.7   the commissioner of public safety for hiring of trooper 
  1.8   candidates and operation of a state patrol entry-level recruit 
  1.9   training academy in July 2001.  This appropriation does not 
  1.10  cancel and is available until spent.  
  1.11     Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective the day after final enactment.
