  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to higher education; grants; modifying grant 
  1.3             eligibility; amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 
  1.4             136A.121, subdivision 9. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 136A.121, 
  1.7   subdivision 9, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 9.  [AWARDS.] An undergraduate student who meets the 
  1.9   office's requirements is eligible to apply for and receive a 
  1.10  grant in any year of undergraduate study unless the student has 
  1.11  obtained a baccalaureate degree or previously has been enrolled 
  1.12  full time or the equivalent for ten eight semesters or the 
  1.13  equivalent, excluding courses taken from a Minnesota school or 
  1.14  post-secondary institution which is not participating in the 
  1.15  state grant program and from which a student transferred no 
  1.16  credit.
