  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             materials recovery facilities for Pope and Douglas 
  1.4             counties. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $2,300,000 is appropriated from the general fund for the 
  1.8   biennium ending June 30, 2003, to the office of environmental 
  1.9   assistance for a grant to the Pope/Douglas solid waste 
  1.10  management board.  The appropriation must be used to construct a 
  1.11  materials recovery facility to be used in conjunction with the 
  1.12  Pope/Douglas waste to energy facility.
