A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for an interchange at Interstate
Highway 35 and 400th Street in North Branch.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin INTERCHANGE AT INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AND 400TH STREET,
NORTH BRANCH; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for a grant to the city of North Branch for predesign, design, and
right-of-way acquisition to construct an interchange at Interstate Highway 35 and 400th
Street in the city of North Branch. This appropriation is available after the commissioner
of management and budget determines that sufficient resources have been committed from
nonstate sources to complete the project. This is a onetime appropriation and is available
until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
