relating to telecommunications; appropriating money for a grant to extend an
existing broadband network.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $3,200,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Mountain Iron Economic
Development Authority to extend an existing fiber optic broadband network operated by
the Northeast Service Cooperative from Willow River to Pine City and from Cromwell to
Aitkin.
