A bill for an act
 relating to higher education finance; appropriating money to the Board of
Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for the Cook County
higher education project.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $40,000 is appropriated to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges
and Universities for Cook County higher education to provide educational programs and
academic support services to remote regions in northeastern Minnesota. This appropriation
amount shall be in addition to the $80,000 the project currently receives. Beginning with
fiscal year 2008, the funding base for this program shall be $120,000 for each biennium.

number of students served, credit hours delivered, and services provided to students.
