A bill for an act
relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of certain tax-forfeited land
in Lake County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

(a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282,
Lake County may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited land that is described in paragraph
(c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.

(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general for a
consideration of $1 and relinquishment of a four-acre parcel of land that Lake County has
used for road relocation.

(c) The land to be sold is located in Lake County and is described as: that part of
the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, north of County State-Aid Highway 14,
Section 20, Township 55 North, Range 11 West.

(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
best be served if the land was returned to private ownership.
