A bill for an act
relating to capital improvements; authorizing the sale of state bonds;
appropriating money to Olmsted County for a grant to upgrade and expand
capacity with a third combustion unit at the municipal solid waste combustor
serving Dodge and Olmsted Counties.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $800,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
fund for a grant to Olmsted County to design, construct, furnish, and equip the county's
municipal solid waste combustor, serving Dodge and Olmsted Counties, by upgrading and
expanding capacity with a third combustion unit used to provide energy to an existing
city/county district energy system.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond
proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an
amount up to $800,000, in a manner, upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by
Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution,
article XI, sections 4 to 7.
