A bill for an act
relating to human services; continuing funding for programs related to reducing
fetal alcohol syndrome; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human services
to transfer as grants beginning July 1, 2008, to three programs that provide services
to reduce fetal alcohol syndrome under Minnesota Statutes, section 145.9266. The
three program grantees are the University of Minnesota, the Meeker-McLeod-Sibley
Community, and the American Indian Family Center. This appropriation shall become
part of the base appropriation.
