  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing the public sale 
  1.3             of certain tax-forfeited land that borders public 
  1.4             water in Mower county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; MOWER COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   282.018, subdivision 1, Mower county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.9   land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.10  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.11  282. 
  1.12     (b) The sale must be in a form approved by the attorney 
  1.13  general. 
  1.14     (c) The land to be sold is located in Mower county and is 
  1.15  described as: 
  1.16     The following portion of the South Half of the Northwest 
  1.17     Quarter and the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of 
  1.18     Section 33, Township 101 North, Range 18 West:  Beginning 
  1.19     at a point 703.9 feet East of a point on the West Section 
  1.20     line 1729 feet North of the Southwest corner of said 
  1.21     Section 33; thence due East 1216 feet to the center of the 
  1.22     Cedar river; thence North 30 degrees 52 minutes West along 
  1.23     the centerline of said river 534 feet; thence North 35 
  1.24     degrees 50 minutes West along said centerline 272 feet; 
  1.25     thence North 51 degrees 20 minutes West along said 
  2.1      centerline 357 feet; thence North 12 degrees 26 minutes 
  2.2      East along said centerline 359 feet to a point 605 feet due 
  2.3      East of a point 1264.9 feet North of the place of 
  2.4      beginning; thence 605 feet due West to said point 1264.9 
  2.5      feet North of the place of beginning; thence 1264.9 feet 
  2.6      South to the place of beginning, containing 25 acres.  Also 
  2.7      an easement for cartway purposes for ingress to and egress 
  2.8      from the above-described 25 acre tract, upon a strip of 
  2.9      land 33 feet North and South, the north line of which 
  2.10     borders upon the south line of the land conveyed to the 
  2.11     Woodbury cemetery association of Lyle, Mower county, 
  2.12     Minnesota, by the deed recorded in Book 14 of Deeds, page 
  2.13     488, in the office of the register of deeds of said county, 
  2.14     and which extends from the highway along the west line of 
  2.15     said section, eastward to the said 25-acre tract. 
  2.16     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.17  management interests would best be served if the land was 
  2.18  returned to private ownership.
