relating to appropriations; appropriating money for equipment grant to public
television.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin PIONEER PUBLIC TELEVISION; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,950,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of administration to provide an equipment grant to Pioneer Public Television as part of the
station's construction of a new facility in Granite Falls, Minnesota. The money may be used
to purchase and install equipment necessary to the station's operation. The money may be
used for any equipment or installation costs incurred after September 1, 2016, and is available
until expended.
