  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; exempting portable fish 
  1.3             houses from licensing requirement; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 2000, section 97C.355, subdivision 2. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 97C.355, 
  1.7   subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 2.  [LICENSE REQUIRED.] A person may not take fish 
  1.9   from a dark house or fish house unless the house is licensed and 
  1.10  has a durable license tag attached to the exterior as prescribed 
  1.11  by the commissioner, except as provided in this subdivision.  
  1.12  The commissioner must issue a durable tag that is at least two 
  1.13  inches in diameter with a 3/16 inch hole in the center with a 
  1.14  dark house or fish house license.  The durable tag must be 
  1.15  marked with a number to correspond with the license and the year 
  1.16  of issue.  A dark house or fish house license is not 
  1.17  required for a portable house removed from the ice on a daily 
  1.18  basis or of a resident on boundary waters where the adjacent 
  1.19  state does not charge a fee for the same activity.
